The 6th Asia-Europe Film Meeting

The 6th Asia-Europe Film Meeting

Since its inauguration, the series of yearly Asia-Europe Film Meetings have tackled issues related to the development and promotion of independent cinema in both regions (film distribution, film producing, women film makers, etc.) Concrete outputs take various forms: film projects development, career opportunities for young film professionals, implementation of new film funds, etc.

This 6th edition of Asia-Europe Film Meeting, will give young producers the possibility to create a solid international network and to gain international expertise on how to present their projects in the international marketplace. The meeting will take place from 24-26 January 2008 in Brussels (Belgium) and from 26 - 31 January 2008 in Rotterdam (Netherlands). In addition, the producers will have the chance to participate in all other events around CineMart and the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).

OPEN CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

Deadline: 20 NOVEMBER 2007

The co-organisers of this project are looking out for Asian and European young independent film producers who are active in local and/or international networks and keen to continue collaboration within Asia and Europe on a long term basis and to share information and networks with likeminded professionals.

This meeting is co-organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in partnership with the RITS film school Brussels and the Rotterdam Lab of CineMart Rotterdam .
