The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Clive Owen and Julia Roberts will reteam in the film "Duplicity" after starring in 2004's "Closer." Universal Pictures will distribute the thriller. Tony Gilroy ("Michael Clayton") will direct based on his own screenplay.
Owen and Roberts will play longtime lovers and rival corporate spies who team to pull off an elaborate con.
Meanwhile, the trades are reporting that Owen has left the "Escape from New York" remake due to creative differences. New Line Cinema is continuing their plans to do the remake, however; they have just brought in Jonathan Mostow (director of "Terminator 3") to do a rewrite on the screenplay, with an option to direct.
